Unusual Items at Gould Manor Park

On February 8, 2024, police responded Gould Manor Park on Holland Hill Road in Fairfield, CT, on a report of items found at the park that resembled animal organs. There is a rising public interest in this investigation resulting from the dissemination of images and information by the public on social media platforms. 

While we understand the concerns and curiosity surrounding these findings, we want to emphasize that there is no identified threat to public safety. The Fairfield Police Department is investigating the incident and preliminary indications suggest a Santeria-type ritual involving what are believed to be animal organs. The exact identity of those responsible for placing these items at the park are not yet known. 

We urge residents to report any suspicious incidents directly to the police and use caution when sharing sensitive or provocative information on social media. This collaborative effort ensures the accuracy of information, minimizes unnecessary panic, and facilitates a thorough investigation.
